Chatillon Lux Fourth & Pine Post-Shave Salve
$15.50

Instead of carrying a satchel full of products like moisturizers, astringents, and healing balms, we combine everything into one product: our post-shave salve. The moisturizing properties of the glycerin and lanolin reinforce the all-around goodness of shea butter, avocado oil and coconut oil. After scraping your skin with cold, hard steel, witch hazel and aloe vera sooth irritation and battle redness.

Additionally, our bearded brethren will find that the post-shave salve makes for an excellent beard balm that makes the beard soft as a rabbit's pelt while eliminating itchy or dry skin underneath.

When Henri Chatillon was chasing buffalo on the Oregon Trail, he would have appreciated the all-encompassing powers of the Chatillon Lux salve. And since a dime-sized dab is all you need: a little bit goes a long way.

Instructions for use: Take your trigger finger and scoop a dime-sized amount (or about otter-paw-sized, if you are Henri Chatillon), then rub it between your palms until it reaches body temperature. Massage it into your freshly shorn, still damp skin. Make sure you take the time to really work it into damp skin for 45 seconds to a minute, which helps with absorption and allows you to enjoy the blooming scent. Depending on the dryness of the skin, the absorption time will vary.

Shipping Notes: During warm weather, the salve may melt if the carrier leaves it in the sun or directly exposed to heat. To try to avoid any adverse effects, place the salves in the refrigerator for a few hours when they arrive during the summer months.

Scent:   Johann Farina is widely regarded as one of the patriarchs of the fragrance world. His classic combination, the original eau de cologne, is still as relevant today as it was over three centuries ago. One of the first American destinations to carry it was Clamorgan's, a premier bathhouse and gentlemen's grooming salon that attended to local luminaries like Ulysses S. Grant.

The Clamorgan brothers were the mixed-race sons of Henry Clamorgan, one of the titans in St. Louis' early history. Despite their second-rate status, they provided the highest level of luxury and carried the finest grooming products in their renowned store, including Farina's Eau de Cologne. This scent is not intended to replicate that master's work, but to provide a new take on it. One that pays homage to the Clamorgan's ability to thrive despite the high hurdles put in front of their success.

This is not a replication of the original Eau de Cologne, but rather it plays off the idea of a refreshing burst of refreshing citrus.

Notes include: Neroli, lemon, bergamot, lavender, orange, petitgrain, grapefruit, and yuzu

Ingredients: Shea butter, witch hazel, avocado oil, coconut oil, aloe vera, cetyl alcohol, emulsifying wax, lanolin, and glycerin
